Lazy Lions is owned and operated by Lazy Ventures Inc, led by co-founders Kane (known as kaneco, kaneco.eth) and Westie (known as localcryptogod). They acquired Lazy Lions from its original founders in late 2023 and assumed full control of the project in 2024.
Lazy Ventures Inc is also the parent company of LazyStudio, the creative generation platform where holders turn their Lions into comic books, coloring pages, and GIFs, and LazyEdge, the prediction market analysis terminal and API. The three products share a single ownership layer: holding a Lazy Lion is the credential that unlocks software across the group, with one Lion granting the LazyEdge terminal and five granting API access.
Both owners came from the community before they ran it. Westie was a trait group leader among holders and Kane joined as a collector, which is why the roadmap is built around what holders receive rather than what the brand can extract from them.
Kane leads brand partnerships, new product launches, and strategic growth across chains and communities. Westie leads project delivery and the holder experience, bringing a background in business and project management. The wider team includes Dunks on social and Lazy Cubs content.
